## Overview

XDC Network is an EVM-compatible layer 1 built around trade finance and tokenized real-world assets, running delegated proof of stake with fast finality and near-zero fees. It ships no native confidentiality: balances, counterparties and amounts are public, which is a hard blocker for the trade-finance flows it targets. Bubble adds encrypted balances and confidential transfers at the application layer with the standard Solidity toolchain.
