## Overview

Ripple Research published a Confidential MPT design in March 2026, using EC-ElGamal encrypted balances with zero-knowledge proofs to hide amounts while keeping sender, receiver and total supply auditable. It is a proposed amendment rather than a live feature, and RLUSD is transparent today.
